Tsukasa Ito is currently a senior in the Gifted High School Program at Interlake High School and is currently involved in the Interlake community as a member of the National Honor Society, “See Your Impact” Club, and the DECA club. He is also dedicated to his swimming career through the Bellevue Club Swim Team and Interlake’s Boy’s Swim Team, where he has made the State Championship as a captain for two years running. Next year, he will be attending the University of Pennsylvania.
Tsukasa was born in Japan, but has lived in the United States for the majority of his life, where he has lived in New York, California, and Washington State.
Tsukasa is committed to his Japanese heritage through both his weekly attendance of Seattle Saturday Japanese School and participation in Kendo, a Japanese martial art akin to fencing. He has been a Kendo competitor since age seven, and has seen his efforts bear fruit through his winning of the Pacific Northwest Kendo Federation (PNKF) Championship and attendance in the All United States Kendo Federation (AUSKF) Championship.
